The Glass Mountain is a website where users can read fiction and poetry, then comment on the things they read. Since you can see other users' comments, the site facilitates discussion. It also provides a message board for this purpose.
The site allows you to comment in a very granular way: users may comment on a particular line, paragraph or title of a piece. This function makes it possible for authors to get very specific feedback on their work.
Users are also encouraged to submit their own work, of course, by clicking on the "submit" link and pasting their piece into a textarea. The ability to submit can be tied to the number of comments a user has made on other people's work; this way, everyone can take a turn as both writer and critic.
